Kerri and James couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Both are highly creative people who love and appreciate art. They are both laid back, smiley and super fun to be around. Friday was one of the more dismal weather days that I can remember on a wedding day and yet I never heard one of them say a word about it. James even apologized to me for the fact that it was raining:)
Their wedding was incredible gorgeous! I couldn’t love the Bell Event Centre in Over the Rhine more. It is the perfect setting for a couple who believes in character and art and the beauty of life. It’s was a constant reminder of who they are as a couple throughout the day.
Kerri and James, thanks for continually showing me love and kindness. Thank you for being friends. And thank you for allowing me to capture a small part of how much you love each other! Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Sonya and Chris are an amazing couple! And Memorial Hall was one of my favorite places to photograph. We even found an old storage room upstairs that had the most amazing light! Very cool.
I loved this wedding because it was so relaxed and fun. The smiles that you see on these guys’ faces were there all day and there wasn’t any stress to be found (at least not that they showed). I am a lucky guy to have the job that I have!
This session almost didn’t happen. Sonya’s hair person had strep throat, it was crazy hot and humid that day and then 20 minutes before the session it rained so hard that we all thought we were going to have to cancel. But we didn’t. And it was perfect.
I loved so much about this session: the clouds, the sun, the architecture, the red dress and they way they look on camera. But what I loved the most was getting to walk around their alma mater and hear stories of why that campus means so much to them. They were both in the RA program there when they met, Chris in pharmacy school and Sonya in CCM. She said, “here’s where we used to sneak out of our dorms after bed check and make out.” Every step we took was filled with memories for the two of them and I was lucky enough to relive some of it with them.
Sonya and Chris, I am incredibly honored to be a part of your journey. Thanks for showing me around the places that mean so much to you. Here are some of my favorites from our time together:
